Detecting the Invisible! Hands-free detection of gases and vapors
The Chameleon is the only hands-free, power-free, chemical detection system for gases and vapors in air, allowing First Responders, Firefighters, EMS, Police Officers and Military to detect the presence of hazardous chemicals. No liquid sample required. Developed under funding by the United States Marine Corps, the Chameleon is ideal for users to screen unknown hazards in their environments.
The unique armband attaches easily to the forearm for hands-free detection. It's new rugged color change technology makes it easy to use in extreme conditions. It can even be immersed in fresh or salt water for up to an hour. There is no interference from smoke and other particulates.
Hazmat Starter Kit includes:
- 1 standard length (14") armband, with 10 cassette holders
- 1 belt pouch
- 10 detection cassettes each of: Low PH (acid), High PH (base), Chlorine/Fluorine, Hydrogen Sulfide, Phosgene (Total of 50 cassettes)
Starter Kit Specifications:
- Cassette life of 24 hours
- Temperature range: -30° C to 50° C (-22° F to 122° F)
- No liquid sample required
- Immersion possible up to one hour in both fresh and salt water
